Apart from using this blog as an outlet for my own fashion musings/opinions, I also hope that I can look back one day and remember this burning passion that is my life, and will hopefully continue to be part of the rest of my life.

Why "thenarcissa"? You might ask. Well, it is simply a play on my facebook name. Being a literature student during my 'A' level days and an avid reader, I like this whole alliteration thing. It just has a nice ring to it. On another note, "Narcissa" is also the female version of the name "Narcissus", whom most would know from Greek mythology as the boy who was obessed with himself, so much so that he fell in love with his own reflection.

Most of us in fashion are guilty of narcissism, at one point or another. It is not necessarily a bad thing simply because it is our love for ourselves that motivates us to dress up. Presentation is everything.
